The Chalkbeat Jobs Board was created by Chalkbeat, a nonprofit education news network that covers educational change efforts in the communities where improvement matters most.

The savviest education recruiters rely on The Chalkbeat Jobs Board to connect with the best, most engaged candidates in education. They post jobs at schools — openings for teachers, principals, school nurses, and operations staff. And jobs at education organizations — executive directors, program managers, policy analysts, HR staff, and more.

In 2014, employers posted more than 1,600 jobs and more than 20,000 people visited the jobs boards.

Where are these jobs posted?

All jobs are posted on each of Chalkbeat’s bureau sites in New York, Colorado, Indiana and Tennessee, and also on our partner sites the Philadelphia Public School Notebook and the Chicago Catalyst.

How much does it cost to post a job?

  • A single 30-day job posting costs $95 and appears on all our jobs boards
  • A bulk pack of five 30-day job postings cost $380 and appears on all our jobs boards
  • A featured job posting costs an additional $95 for each site you’d like to feature it on

What is a featured job posting?

Featured jobs postings are displayed at the top of the homepage and in the right column of individual job posting pages to ensure maximum visibility. It’s a great way to maximize the number of job seekers who will see your job.

What is a bulk pack?

A bulk pack consists of five 30-day job postings. Each credit counts as one job posting. You do not have to spend the bulk pack all at once. After you purchase it, you’ll have the credit on your account and the option to publish the postings at any time you wish.

How do I pay for a job posting?

You can pay for a job posting using a PayPal account or a credit card. To inquire about other payment options, e-mail Frank Rowe at jobs@chalkbeat.org.

How do I get invoiced for a job posting purchase?

If you would like to be invoiced, please e-mail Frank Rowe at jobs@chalkbeat.org.

How will I know when my job has expired?

You will receive an e-mail five days before your posting expires so you can decide whether you’d like to renew it. You will also receive an e-mail notifying you when your post officially expires, and again you’ll have the option of logging into your jobs board account to relist the posting.

How can I relist a posting?

  • Visit My Dashboard and login.
  • Click on Ended/Expired to view your postings that are not active.
  • Click Relist
